Founded in 2009 by Nas Bashir — UEFA Pro Licence coach, former Arsenal youth player, and one of England's most respected football development professionals — FAB Academy is based at Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre in Marlow, Buckinghamshire.
Bisham Abbey is no ordinary training ground. This is the historic national facility that served as the England national team's pre-tournament base ahead of World Cups and European Championships. The same pitches walked by David Beckham, Michael Owen, Sol Campbell, Jermain Defoe, and Jamie Carragher. Following a £7 million redevelopment, the site now features state-of-the-art 3G and Desso grass pitches to Wembley Stadium specification, an elite gym, and world-class coaching infrastructure.
Nas Bashir has spent over 35 years in professional football — first as a player in Arsenal's youth system, then as Assistant Academy Manager at Reading FC from 2001 to 2009 where he gained his UEFA Pro Licence and worked alongside Stuart Pearce coaching the England U21 side. FAB Academy is the culmination of everything he learned: a programme that has developed players worth over £30 million in professional contracts, with graduates at Brentford FC, Barnet FC, and clubs across England's football pyramid.
